Royal Canin Sensitivity Control Adult Dry Cat Food
Product details
Royal Canin Feline Sensitivity Control SC 27 is designed to provide all the nutritional support a cat with food hypersensitivity needs.
How it works
This food contains a carefully selected source of proteins. These proteins are chosen to help reduce the risk of your cat having an allergic reaction. They are also hydrolysed, meaning they have already been broken down into smaller pieces. Hydrolysed proteins are not only much easier for your cat to digest, they also lower the chance of an allergic reaction.
High amounts of biotin, niacin, and zinc work together to help strengthen your cat’s skin. This leads to reduced water loss, and a more effective barrier effect on the skin, helping to protect your cat from external irritants.
Balanced nutrients and fatty acids promote a healthy digestive system by cultivating the good bacteria in your cat’s system. The food is also completely lactose- and gluten-free, further limiting the possibility of allergic reactions.
Key benefits
- specially selected proteins to reduce chance of allergic reactions
- proteins are hydrolysed, making them easy to digest, and less likely to cause allergic reactions
- specially formulated to promote healthy skin
- balanced nutrients and fatty acids contribute to a healthy digestive system
- no lactose or gluten.
When to use it
Spotting food allergies in your cat can be tricky, as many of the symptoms can also point to other conditions. In general, however, be on the lookout for hair loss, repeated and frequent scratching, and inflamed or red areas of skin. If your cat vomits after eating, this could be a sign of food intolerance. The best course of action is to check with your vet when your cat is exhibiting any of these symptoms.
If allergies are the problem however, certain foods can help. The way your cat’s body processes certain proteins is a common cause of allergies. Some proteins can’t be naturally broken down, so are absorbed whole. This causes your cat’s immune system to react defensively, leading to the allergic reaction. Breaking these proteins down in the food beforehand therefore helps to relieve the problem.
Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. For more information on feeding Royal Canin Feline Sensitivity Control SC 27 to your cat, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

Great for cats with sensitive stomachsI have been feeding this to my cat on recommendation from my vet. As well as this Royal canin dried food I feed my cat on Nature’s Menu and James Wellbeloved wet food. My cat enjoys all of these foods and he likes the variety of wet and dry.
