Royal Canin Large Senior Consult Mature Dry Dog Food
Product details
Royal Canin Canine Senior Consult Mature Large Dog contains everything most large mature dogs need for a well-rounded diet, while also promoting joint and bone health.
How it works
Ageing dogs need a more specialised diet, and this blend of ingredients is tailored to provide a complete nutritional solution. Nutrients have been carefully selected to support and promote healthy brain function. These nutrients also help your dog to maintain their vitality levels. This means they can continue to enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle.
The food contains sources of glucosamine, which are fundamental in strengthening joints and bones. The balanced ingredients also provide everything your dog needs to keep a strong muscle mass. These two elements mean that even as your dog gets older, they will maintain their strength. Hydrolysed animal proteins are easy for your dog to digest thanks to the fact they are already partially broken down. Digestive health is further promoted by vegetable fibres' high nutrient combinations.
Antioxidants in the food can help keep your dog’s immune system strong. They also combat free radicals, which can attack the healthy cells in your dog’s body.
Key benefits
- specialised diet for aging dogs
- nutrient mix supports brain and vitality levels
- complete and balanced for a healthy diet
- supports muscle mass
- glucosamine promotes healthy joints and bones
- helps maintain digestive tolerance
- antioxidants provide a boost to your dog’s immune system.
When to use it
As your dog gets older, they become vulnerable to a number of health conditions specific to their age. Arthritis, for example, can cause inflammation of the joints. Much like in humans, this can make it very difficult and uncomfortable for your dog to get around the park, or up the stairs. If your dog is suffering from joint pain, they are likely to lick or chew at the joint causing them problems. A healthy diet becomes even more important the older your dog gets, as boosting their defences against arthritis, kidney problems, and even dementia, can help them live a longer, happier life.
Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. Fabulous nutrition for aging large breedMy elderly Labrador was starting to show signs of age on a routine blood test. Slightly elevated liver and kidney enzymes. After 6 weeks of changing the result were back within normal ranges. It can't turn back the clock but it can help to slow down the ticking. Won't feed anything other than royal canin from now on
