Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Moderate Calorie Adult Dry Dog Food
Product details
Royal Canin Canine Gastro Intestinal Moderate Calorie GIM 23 is a complete food for dogs struggling with intestinal absorption disorders and other digestive problems.
How it works
Royal Canin Canine Gastro Intestinal Moderate Calorie GIM 23 is designed to combat the multiple symptoms of digestive disorders in dogs. It is made with easily digestible ingredients to counteract the reduced efficiency of your dog’s digestive system.
High levels of EPA and DHA fatty acids, sources of omega-3, assist your dog’s digestion by reducing inflammation and generally accelerating the digestive process. This is particularly useful if your dog suffers from inflammatory bowel disease.
Digestive disorders can often cause a dog’s body weight to fluctuate and you may find that your dog’s discomfort makes them reluctant to exercise. Royal Canin Canine Gastro Intestinal is made with a moderate calorie recipe to help maintain your dog’s ideal weight while they recover.
Royal Canin Canine Gastro Intestinal Moderate Calorie GIM 23 is specially formulated to entice dogs whose illness has reduced their appetite or are particularly fussy eaters.
Key benefits
- specially formulated to be easy to digest
- enhanced palatability to entice dogs with reduced appetite
- low calorie formula helps to maintain ideal bodyweight for dogs struggling with lethargy as a result of maldigestion
- enriched with nutrients to maintain general health during treatment
- high levels of EPA-DHA fatty acids, both sources of omega-3 to reduce inflammation and speed digestion.
When to use it
Intestinal absorption and digestive disorders can have a range of symptoms. Diarrhoea, flatulence, vomiting, lethargy and loss of appetite are all signs that your dog may be suffering from a digestive disorder. If you are concerned that your pet is suffering from a digestive problem, be sure to contact your vet for further advice.
As a complete food, Royal Canin Canine Gastro Intestinal Moderate Calorie GIM 23 is designed to reduce the symptoms of digestive disorders, whether they be inflammation or poor digestion, whilst your dog is undergoing treatment. It should be used from diagnosis throughout treatment.

Improved stoolsThis was recommended by my vet and it has improved dog's stools considerably. Can now manage to pick them up as before they were much too soft.
-
Great for Senior Dog wiith sensitive tumMy Vet originally recommended Royal Canin Gastro Intestinal food, but it was quite high in calories, and I have a 14 year old Labrador, that cannot get around very well, so does not burn the calories, this food is ideal to help keep him in shape.
-
Great for fussy dogs with soft stools!Struggled to find a dog food that my spaniel would eat and not get a bad tumny tried no end of pricey high protein drys and run of the mill ones. When he was "done" my vet suggested i try the high calorie GI dry for a week after his op ( unsure why) but he absolutely loved it ! His stools are now fantastic. we now have him on the reduced calories and he still loves it and it really agrees with him. I wish it wasnt so pricey but i buy the big bags now for best value.
