Product details
Royal Canin Veterinary Feline Fibre Response FR31 offers a nutritionally complete meal for cats suffering with acute and chronic constipation.
How it works
This high-fibre cat food is designed to ease the symptoms of constipation in cats. Made with plenty of dietary fibre, Fibre Response passes easily through the digestive system, removing substances which can cause irritation. The highly digestible proteins and added nutrients ensure your cat is getting what they need even with a shorter digestion process. The formula includes antioxidants to neutralise harmful free radicals, as well as EPA/DHA long chain fatty acids for better digestive health. As it's a complete feed, Fibre Response takes the place of your cat's regular food until the symptoms have cleared.

When to use it
Constipation is one of the most common digestive issues in cats. Outward signs of constipation include lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss and a lack of grooming. Your cat may also show signs of abdominal discomfort, such as striking out if you touch them on the stomach. Some of these symptoms can be signs of urinary disorders too, so it's important to visit your vet for a diagnosis.
If you're worried your cat has constipation, pay close attention to their toilet habits: a healthy cat should pass one stool a day. Symptoms of constipation include crying in pain or straining while using the litter box, or visiting the litter box more frequently and unproductively. If their stools are small, dry and hard (and/or covered with blood or mucous) it's a sign that something is wrong. In these cases it's important to speak to your vet as soon as possible.
Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. For more information on feeding Royal Canin Veterinary Feline Fibre Response FR31 to your cat, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

He doesn't strain & goes regularly & is much more lively. Hes been on it for a couple of years but l now have to give half/half of royal canin urinary so because he had crystals , he eats the mixture happily

Fibre ResponseSince purchasing this product my cats life has changed for the better. Being a rescue cat she does not like soft food and will only eat dry cat food, probably having been brought up this way since a kitten. The problem was constipation but with the help of Fibre Response we have not looked back and she is a very happy cat. I would thoroughly recommend this product for any cat with constipation problems.

Ode to a happy catI am so delighted to have discovered Royal Canin Feline Fibre Response. before starting him on this my cat's constipation had become so severe that I even considered putting him to sleep. Every few weeks he had to have his bowels emptied, he was constantly crying and straining and soiling himself. So very distressing. As a last resort a year ago, after reading reviews, I started him on this food and since then he has not been to the vets once. He poos regularly, does not strain and is even off lactulose. I feed him a little fibre response daily, along with other dry food and some wet. It took a while to get the balance correct but there is no going back.
