Ipakitine is a supplement that reduces the phosphates in your pet’s food. If your cat or dog has just been diagnosed with chronic renal failure, this powder can be mixed with their favourite food instead of changing their food to a renal specific range. A natural supplement, the powder is made with chitosan which absorbs uremic toxins in the gastrointestinal tract, helping your pet to maintain a good quality of life.

It is recommended that you seek advice from your veterinarian if you suspect that your pet may be suffering from kidney failure. This product is suitable for lifetime use but as your animal gets older it will have to be coupled with renal food and/or ACE inhibitors.
Dosage
1g / 5kg body weight twice daily, mixed with food, One level scoop measures 1g of powder. It is recommended that a check up is performed every 6 months. Allow free access to fresh water during administration.

Very good for Kidney failureI was told 2 years ago my dog had signs of kidney failure due to medication for arthritis, last year my dog was having trouble eating and the vet said her kidney failure was getting worse. As soon as she started her on Ipakitine I could see the improvement, she was licking her bowl clean again and her kidneys have settled down. She is now 15 and doing well and receiving Librela injections for her arthritis instead of pain killers

Highly recommend for old cats with failing kidneysMy 13yr old cat was going downhill, not eating & listless. I didn't want to go to the vet, as previous events had led me to expect she probably wouldn't get particularly old, being a tiny feral rescue with some of her 9 lives already ticked off! She gave me a withering look when I gave her a little in a bit of food, but with a little coaxing, it went in. The next dose was accepted more readily, and she got her appetite back. Within 48hrs, she looked SO much better and ate a full 100g at once of her usual wet food. I am SO happy to see her revitalized in such a short time! I will continue with the treatment and enjoy her again. I would recommend it to other cat lovers.

Beneficial for kidney disease in dogsOur Jack Russell is 12 years old and has kidney disease. After a week on dialysis the vet prescribed this but also prepared us to take her home to say goodbye. That was 4 months ago and she is still going strong as she has this powder in her food as per the instructions. Initially we mixed it in as she can be fussy but now it is just put on top of her normal food and she eats it no problem. The bulk pot is very good value for money.
