Royal Canin Feline Senior Consult Stage 2 supports kidney function and aids mobility in cats showing signs of ageing.

How it works

Royal Canin Feline Senior Consult Stage 2 is formulated for mature cats who are starting to feel the effects of age. Its reduced phosphorous content helps to maintain healthy kidney function.

As your cat gets older, it may need help to maintain good mobility. Years of running, jumping and playing can put pressure on joints and it may begin to move more slowly or find it difficult to get around. Royal Canin Feline Senior Consult Stage 2 is enriched with green-lipped mussel, a natural anti-inflammatory that reduces joint pain and swelling.

This formula is developed with a high fat content, making it perfect for cats over seven years old who have a tendency to lose weight. Containing a balance of nutrients and fibres, this complete food has everything your cat needs to maintain a healthy weight as they get older.

Key benefits

  • developed to support cats over seven years old
  • low phosphorous content helps to maintain healthy kidney function
  • green-lipped mussel aids mobility by reducing joint pain and swelling
  • complete formula with a high fat that’s perfect for cats who find it difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

When to use it

As your cat gets older, they may start to show signs of their age. Royal Canin Feline Senior Consult Stage 2 gives your cat the help it needs to stay happy and active.

There are a few signs that your cat might need support in old age. They may find it difficult to move, or are not able to jump as they once could. They might move less and seem uncomfortable when doing so, or hold their limbs awkwardly. These are all indicators that your cat might be feeling its age.

If you think your cat needs a little extra help as it matures, consult your vet for a full examination and diagnosis. Before feeding your pet Feline Senior Consult Stage 2, check the feeding guide to make sure they’re getting the right amount for their height and weight.

Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. For more information on feeding Royal Canin Feline Senior Consult Stage 2 to your cat, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

  • Moved from Stage One to Stage Two
Stage Two has been happily accepted by my eldest feline now 12 from Stage One. The food is different in colour and texture so no chance of getting this mixed up with Stage One which my others felines are on.

  • Good balanced food
Seems good, my cat was put onto the stage one balance as she’s prone to cystitis from stress which can lead to urinary crystals and that worked great for her but she’s just turned 14 now and my old vet had said this would be safe to move her onto if she started being more her age. Well she started to look like stiffer when jumping up etc so I decided to risk changing to this. It seems great so far, she does seem to move more freely again and hasn’t caused any changes to her bladder function so we’re both happy!

  • Royal Canin feline consult2
My cats enjoy this . Small enough to be swallowed whole because some older cats have tooth loss; however would be good if they could make them even smaller or produce biscuits for cats with gum and tooth loss problems.

  • First Class
Very happy with site, service, delivery etc, however very good to be offered bonus credits that expired 12 months ago.
