Product details

This Royal Canin Mother & Babycat food has been carefully blended to provide everything your doting mother cat needs to nurse her kittens.

How it works

This food helps to keep both mother and kittens in great health. It contains a mix of prebiotics to boost digestive health and complex antioxidants to encourage a healthy immune system. Building up kittens' immune systems as they wean is important, and this food also contains vitamins A and D3 to further increase their natural defences.

Its easy-wean formula makes nursing less taxing for the mother and ensures that the key nutrients are passed on to the litter. Added DHA fatty acid also helps to develop their brains, so they're bright and curious as they grow.

Key benefits

  • prebiotics boost digestive health
  • antioxidants for a healthy immune system
  • added vitamins, including vitamins A and D3
  • easy-wean formula
  • DHA stimulates brain development
  • complete mix for mother and kitten

When to use it

Your cat will know exactly how to raise and nurse her kittens, but you can give her a helping hand with the right diet. Weaning a litter can be physically demanding, and the mother's state of health can directly affect the litter. Providing a balanced diet that also helps to boost the kittens' development – like this food does – is a great solution.

Building up a healthy and strong immune system is important for growing cats, which is why this food contains both prebiotics and antioxidants. These are passed from mother to baby through their natural nursing. If your cat is expecting or has a litter, always consult your vet about their dietary needs before making any changes yourself.

  • Cross breed kittens love it
I have kittens that have left their mother at 9 weeks, now 12 weeks and they love this food. Contrary to the packaging I think it suits their small jaws and teeth better than food for older kittens. They love it and gobble it down. I have just increased the size of their portions to suit their stomachs and more importantly, their eyes, where food requirements go.

  • I am using this for my 15mth old Siamese who has had an upset tummy for 5 weeks now and has lost a lot of weight, I recently got a Havana kitten and he was sent away with this kitten food and Charley the Siamese loves it, and it's the only food wet or dry he is interested in, so feeding him that now to try and get him to gain weight, vet says it's ok to feed till he's back on his feet, and he's enjoying it as it's small and easy for him to eat

  • I've got 2 Birmans and a Main Coon. Decided to try baby cat because one of the birmans is an adult but has a tiny jaw and is underweight because of difficulty eating adult sized kibble. This food is the right size and the other cats like it too.
