Royal Canin Fibre Response Adult Dry Cat Food
Royal Canin Veterinary Feline Fibre Response FR31 offers a nutritionally complete meal for cats suffering with acute and chronic constipation.
How it works
This high-fibre cat food is designed to ease the symptoms of constipation in cats. Made with plenty of dietary fibre, Fibre Response passes easily through the digestive system, removing substances which can cause irritation. The highly digestible proteins and added nutrients ensure your cat is getting what they need even with a shorter digestion process. The formula includes antioxidants to neutralise harmful free radicals, as well as EPA/DHA long chain fatty acids for better digestive health. As it's a complete feed, Fibre Response takes the place of your cat's regular food until the symptoms have cleared.
- high in dietary fibre for quick transit through the digestive system
- added nutrients support a balanced digestive system
- prebiotics maintain healthy gut flora

- EPA/DHA long-chain fatty acids help digestive health
- antioxidants neutralise free radicals
- helps soften stools
- nutritionally complete: no need to supplement with other foods.
When to use it
Constipation is one of the most common digestive issues in cats. Outward signs of constipation include lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss and a lack of grooming. Your cat may also show signs of abdominal discomfort, such as striking out if you touch them on the stomach. Some of these symptoms can be signs of urinary disorders too, so it's important to visit your vet for a diagnosis.
If you're worried your cat has constipation, pay close attention to their toilet habits: a healthy cat should pass one stool a day. Symptoms of constipation include crying in pain or straining while using the litter box, or visiting the litter box more frequently and unproductively. If their stools are small, dry and hard (and/or covered with blood or mucous) it's a sign that something is wrong. In these cases it's important to speak to your vet as soon as possible.
Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. Great productI won't go into details, but my cat has always loved the product since the vet suggested it 10 yrs ago,
Great product! My British Blue cat used to suffer from constipation from a kitten. Thanks to Fibre Response he now much, much better. I highly recommend this product.
Ode to a happy catI am so delighted to have discovered Royal Canin Feline Fibre Response. before starting him on this my cat's constipation had become so severe that I even considered putting him to sleep. Every few weeks he had to have his bowels emptied, he was constantly crying and straining and soiling himself. So very distressing. As a last resort a year ago, after reading reviews, I started him on this food and since then he has not been to the vets once. He poos regularly, does not strain and is even off lactulose. I feed him a little fibre response daily, along with other dry food and some wet. It took a while to get the balance correct but there is no going back.
This has transformed my cats life !Since feeding this to my cat her stools are soft, bigger no odour and she much more regular. She doesn't cry anymore when she is due a poo and she's obviously happier and more playful. I was very relieved that she loves the taste of them too ! I don't know what I would do without them, they have transformed her life ! Wonderful !
Nothing else worked (not even paraffin from the vets)When we adopted our cat she was struggling between diarrhoea and constipation. After the vet suggested trying a diet for sensitive cats she got completely stuffed up and almost had to be emptied by the vet! Tried laxatives, tried different diets but nothing seemed to work. Finally I came across this. In less than a week she was going every day and started going by her litter tray and not in the rest of the house!
