Product details

Royal Canin Feline Sterilised Appetite Control 7+ is tailored to meet the needs of neutered cats.

How it works

This dry food is made to help control the appetite of cats who have been neutered. Once your cat has been sterilised, they don’t need the same amount of food as they used to. Using moderate levels of fat and specific dietary fibres, this mix helps your pet to consume fewer calories and feel full up after their meal.

Antioxidants from green tea extracts and grape have been added to this mix to support your cat’s immune system, while essential fatty acids help to keep their coat and skin in good condition and their joints healthy. To give your pet the energy they need this food is rich in protein, which also helps them build lean muscles for all of that hunting and playing.

Key benefits

  • made to meet the needs of neutered cats
  • fewer calories and less fat
  • specific fibres keep your cat fuller for longer
  • antioxidants support their immune system
  • phosphorous levels are tailored to support renal health
  • contains essential fatty acids
  • high in protein to promote lean muscle

When to use it

After your cat has been sterilised they don’t need the same amount of calories as they used to. Of course, your cat will still want as much food as they can get, so it’s important that you swap their food for one that will help to keep them full while consuming less.

Always check the feeding guidelines on the packet when switching your pet’s food. The amount they need usually depends on their weight, age and breed. If you have any concerns about your pet’s diet, or you notice them gaining weight, speak to your vet.

  • Suitable for:
Suitable for my newish puss, who was very overweight when I first took her on. She is losing an ideal amount of weight as time goes by. She only gets the recommended quantity each day to achieve this at a suitable rate.

  • Good choice
Our cats took to it straight away one was obese hence the food swap and they actually don seem to eat the full portion allowance every day so it seems to be very satisfying. The obese cat is doing brilliantly with losing weight without any fuss. And price wise we thought it would be more expensive but because they are do satisfied it is costing us the same as before.Used to buy the 10kg bag of young male sterilised.

  • Healthy cat
Frankie was a stray as a kitten and although 9 now, has never stopped begging for food. She was overweight. I saw this food and thought it sounded good. She also had had a problem with food in the past and had to be careful what she ate. She loves this and has slimmed down gradually and is very healthy as she approaches her elderly years. It suits our other cat well too...Skye is 7.

  • Good , but not so good
My overweight moggie the vet would like her to lose 1/2 to 3/4 kg took well to these as she always does with Royal Canin foods. However the biscuits didn't seem to sate her appetite as I'd hoped . I will persevere with them as I know weight loss in cats should be slow but at the moment doesn't seem to be doing the job.
