Royal Canin Protein Preference is a complete meal that has been specially formulated to encourage fussy adult cats to eat.

How it works

Suitable for cats over the age of 12 months, this all-in-one food is designed to stimulate the senses and encourage fussy eaters to enjoy their meal. Each dish is packed full of easily digestible protein to keep your pet’s digestive system ticking over and contains all the nutrients they need to stay healthy. The ratio of carbohydrates to fat and protein gives your cat an energy boost, as well as helps them to maintain an ideal weight. Every meal contains a complex of omega-6 fatty acids and biotin (also known as vitamin H) to keep their skin healthy and coat in good condition.

Key benefits

  • complete, nutritionally balanced meal
  • suitable for adult cats over the age of one year
  • nourishing combination of protein, carbohydrate and fat
  • satisfied feeling after eating
  • moderate energy content maintains a healthy weight
  • essential fatty acids keeps skin and coat in good condition

When to use it

If your adult cat sometimes turns their nose up at dinner, they may prefer higher protein meals. All cats have individual preferences when it comes to their food. Some fussy pets are less interested in taste but are more satisfied by the feeling of being full after eating.

This Royal Canin recipe has been designed to satisfy with a specially developed recipe packed with healthy fats, carbohydrates and rich protein. Always make sure your cat has plenty of fresh water available at all times and try to keep their food bowl in a quiet place so mealtimes stay stress-free.

  • Yum yum!
My rather fussy cat, George loves this food. Previous to finding this, he would only eat Go Cat, and only one flavour of that but I wanted him to have a better quality food. We tried several which he didn't like. Fortunately, he loves this. I highly recommend it.

  • All of my 6 cats of varying ages like this one.

  • Our cat didn`t like this one as much as Royal Canin Feline Exigent Savour Sensation. I believe the main reason is the size of the pieces. They are quite large triangles and only one shape.

  • I would not give anything else to my 2 babys ! My indoor Bengals have always had Royal Canin. After being sterilised I used the sterilised 37 food which they love. I tried indoor but they did not like it, I tried Fit but they started to put weight on so back to sterilised for the last year and they also finish the bowl. A large bag lasts at least 2 months, so 10 a month per cat is a bargain! And you know its the best you can get for your cat/s.

  • My two cats are both indoor cats, one with long hair and one with short hair but dry skin and pads.
For this reason I alternate between the Skin & Hair 33 and Indoor 27 varieties.
The skin and hair makes a huge and visible difference - their coats are more glossy and easier to comb, it also helps with dry flaking skin and dandruff. The shape and texture of the biscuits is easy to maanage too - even for my elderly cat with no teeth! She doesn`t struggle to eat the biscuits at all and their roug
