How it works
Kidney disease can cause many problems for your cat, but this food can help to limit the spread of the illness while making sure they get all the nutrition they need stay on top form. Omega-3 fatty acids are included to help reduce inflammation and keep blood pressure low.
Phosphorous content is kept especially low too, which can help to reduce the rate at which the disease progresses. Additionally, proteins are high quality and carefully selected to reduce toxin build-up in your pet's body. This can limit general sickness and promote a more active lifestyle.
Key benefits
- low phosphorous content to reduce progression of kidney disease
- omega-3 fatty acids maintain low blood pressure and reduce inflammation
- high quality proteins are limited to reduce toxicity build-up
- can help to reduce general sickness
- supports urinary health.
When to use it
A serious condition like a kidney disease means your cat will most likely need a special diet. This Purina Pro Plan veterinary diets feline NF St/OX renal function wet food pouch with salmon can help to reduce or offer relief to some of the problems your pet faces.
By using carefully selected proteins, the toxins that can build up as a result of reduced kidney function can be kept to a minimum. This means your cat's illness won't always progress as quickly, meaning they can remain a bit more active.
If you think your pet is suffering from a kidney problem, especially if they are vomiting frequently, seem lethargic or are losing weight, see your vet straight away.
It's always important to speak to your vet before changing your pet's diet. This recipe is not suitable for pregnant cats or for kittens.

Out of stockMy cat loves this flavour and also the chicken flavour but it's always out of stock !!!

What a change!Since Millie was diagnosed with Renal problems a few months ago I tried a few different flavours and brands. I bought her Purina Renal with chicken and also salmon but she prefers the salmon and now sits waiting whilst I put her food out for her. She went off her dry food as well so bought her the Purina dry to try and she has started eating it again. She really likes both the wet and dry food so it has turned out cheaper as she eats it all.

Purina RenalMy Phoebe likes Purina Renal mixed with Felix AGAIL Senior which is low in phosphorus but do use a little Ipakitine in the mix of her daily allowance. Cats are fussy and usually lose interest in just the renal on it’s own. I also sometimes as a treat give her some chicken in the mix, she recently had a blood test and is doing well.

Loves the gravyMy cat liked the Royal Canin renal but soon lost her taste for it and she now likes the Purina on it’s own or mixed with the Royal Canin or better still Felix AGAIL Senior which has low phosphorus, she also is given Felix Senior with Ipakitine powder anything to keep her eating.
