Kong Extreme Chew Dog Toy in Black
Product details
This super-tough Kong Extreme toy in black is ideal for power chewers and can be filled with treats to create an entertaining game for your adult dog.
How it works
Made from extra-strong black rubber, this is one of the world's toughest chew toys. It's used worldwide by the military, police and zoos to reward animals after training. This toy is available in a range of sizes so it can be used by different breeds, from small terriers to great Danes.
The shape and texture of the Kong Extreme encourages dogs to grasp it in their mouth and bite down on it. Chewing is a great way to improve their oral health, as it massages their gums and generates more saliva, which helps to stop plaque from building up on the teeth. If you have any concerns over your pet's dental health, your vet can give them a check-up.
The bouncy material also makes games of fetch more fun, as it'll spring off in different directions when it lands.
Key benefits
- suitable for all breeds of adult dog
- keeps teeth healthy by chewing
- hollow centre can be filled with food
- bounces to make games of fetch more entertaining
- pets must be supervised while chewing this toy
When to use it
If your dog likes to chew things – sticks, furniture, even your shoes – they probably enjoy the sensation, rather than the taste of the item. Save your personal belongings from damage by offering your pet this strong rubber toy. Supervise them while they gnaw on the thick cone shape, getting that satisfying feeling against their gums.
You can fill the hollow centre with dry food, which encourages them to nudge the toy around to get at the treats inside and keeps them amused and interested.
Warnings
Our packaging labels include weight guidelines and a safe user guide is included with all of our rubber products. Please choose the correct KONG size for the weight and chewing power of your dog.
Please do not leave unsupervised with your pet. Caution: Proper supervision is advised when playing with all toys to ensure no accidental swallowing. This toy should be regularly inspected to ensure there is no damage. If any damage is seen the toy should then be discarded.
Additional Information
Feeding Guide
Power Chewers - These dogs are usually strong, determined chewers who require more discretion when it comes to selecting toys. Choose durable, interactive play toys along with hard rubber toys. Sizing up is also helpful when picking toys for Power Chewers.
Additionally, KONG does recommend sizing up if a dog destroys a KONG in a short period of time. The size increases the thickness of the rubber making it harder for a dog to get leverage on the product and therefore making it less prone to destruction.

Excellent productThis is the first toy/treat provider that our greyhound has not been able to chew through to get the treats - though he has tried!! It keeps him occupied for quite a while, especially if I fill it and then put it in the freezer for a while.
-
Very robust, great price. Our 14 month old springer, loves it. But I wish they made the strong kongs in a bright colour so easier to find, when puppy pretends it’s lost!
