Product details
Clinically proven nutrition to improve quality of life and lengthen the relationship with your cat. When cats have damage to kidney tissues, the kidneys cannot perform as well as before. The condition is not reversible, but progression may be slowed. Dietetic foods for kidney conditions are designed to help reduce workload on the kidneys, enabling them to function more effectively. Cats with decreased kidney function may experience loss of appetite and their food intake might decline. Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians developed Hill's Prescription Diet k/d clinical nutrition to help protect your cat's vital kidney function and enhance appetite and increase food intake. This dry food is made with chicken and has an irresistible taste that your cat will love. In fact, Prescription Diet k/d is clinically proven nutrition to improve & lengthen quality of life.

Hills K/D dry foodMy 2 cats with early renal failure won't eat any wet renal food but they love these biscuits.

Brilliant! My 14 yr old cat started being sick often and appeared to be losing strength in his back legs/being in pain with them. Tests at the vets showed the onset of CKD. I started him on this food & his blood 6 weeks later showed all levels were back within normal range! He's no longer being sick & is back climbing/jumping around! He's only been on the food just over 10 weeks so I can't rate it long term yet, but really impressed so far! Prior to this, he was on Hills C/D Urinary Care for over 10 years, which I'm convinced must have helped too.

Cat likes it!Our cat favours this food over other brands of renal diet wet food. It has a more paste-like consistency rather than gravy or jelly.
