When to use it

Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease is a common condition, which can be caused by feeding cats dry pet food. Because of a lack of sufficient moisture in the food, cats' urine can become concentrated and crystals can form. Symptoms can be a change in behaviour with your cat becoming more grumpy, increased grooming of the genital area, difficulty urinating or blood in its urine. These symptoms can cause pain and discomfort so it is best to contact your vet the minute you identify a problem.

They may recommend Hill's Prescription Diet Feline c/d Urinary Stress, along with ensuring your cat stays properly hydrated, as a way to quickly put your pet on the path to full health.

Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. For more information on feeding Hill's Prescription Diet Feline c/d Urinary Stress to your cat, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

  • Urinary Care c/d Urinary Stress
My cat has been on this for over 3 years now, and since he's been on it, there hasn't been a moment of concern that he'll be blocked, whereas he got blocked twice in one week when the problem first arose. It's the only one of the 4 that we tried that he likes, so please don't change the recipe, ever. BUT sometimes it comes in different sizes of kibble. The small kibble & about the size of a smallish pea, darkish brown is great, but the larger kibble & about the size of a Smartie, more golden in colour seems to need to be broken in half with only half eaten so there's a mess and a waste. Consistency please, and my vote is in favour of the smaller darker kibble.
