Product details

Nursing your dog back to health or helping them to lose weight is easy with Hill's Prescription Diet Canine r/d, which gives your pet all it needs to slim down or recover from an illness.

How it works

Proper nutrition is essential to help any sick animal get better, whether they're trying to get over an illness, such as a urinary tract infection or gastrointestinal problems, or have an ongoing condition like obesity. This feed can help to overcome these difficulties and return your dog to its healthy, happy self. Clinical studies show that dogs can lose up to 22% of their body fat in just eight weeks with this product. You don't have to worry about your pet becoming overly thin either, as the inclusion of L-carnitine and lysine helps to burn off fat while at the same time ensuring that muscle is preserved. This therapeutic food has been formulated to deliver the quality nutrients that support your dog's health, and is clinically proven to help them to recover quickly. Ingredients include all the foods that are just right for dogs: chicken, pork, soybean, liver, turkey and essential fats, oils and minerals.

Key benefits

  • suitable for use as part of a weight-loss programme if your dog is overweight or obese
  • low in calories but high in protein and other nutrients, including fibre, so your dog won't feel hungry
  • formulated for a delicious taste.

When to use it

If your dog is under the weather and just not themselves, your vet may recommend a specialised diet to aid them in their recovery. Hill's Prescription Diet Canine r/d is specially developed to help alleviate dogs' symptoms and clear up a range of health problems. Continue to consult with your vet during the process, and seek their advice on the duration of the treatment programme, as well as supplementary treatments in the future.

Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. For more information on feeding Hill's Prescription Diet Canine r/d to your dog, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

  • Pet Supermarket canine products
I have purchased many canine products from "Pet Supermarket" over a period of several years and can honestly say I have never been let down or disappointed with their service. Goods always delivered promptly and in good condition. I will continue to use this company as long as I have dogs and would have no hesitation in recommending it to other potential customers. Prices are also very competitive.
