How it works
This animal bedding is made up of formulated pellets created from 99% recycled paper. It’s almost totally dust-free, which is far less messy for you and is much less irritating on small pets’ little lungs. It can be disposed of with garden waste too, making it environmentally friendly. The pellets have excellent absorption, keeping hutches and runs dry and clean, so mucking out and cleaning up is a breeze. There’s no unpleasant odour left over either, so it’s ideal for use in indoor cages.
If you have any spare, this litter can even double up as surface mulch to prevent weed growth, trap water and protect your bedded and potted plants from inclement weather and rot.

When to use it
Cleaning out your small pet’s hutch can sometimes feel like a chore. A highly absorbent bedding like this one can make it a much more pleasant experience, as there won’t be any sodden patches or unexpected smells. You should aim to muck out the cage thoroughly once a week or more so it doesn’t become unhygienic for you and your pet.
This bedding is a great alternative to newspaper (which many small animals will rip up and eat) and softwood litters, which are thought to cause liver disease in rabbits. Use this product alongside hay to keep hutches and cages warm and cosy.
