For the treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas and ticks in cats, and as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis, where this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon.

The product controls infestations with Felicola subrostratus biting lice on cats. FRONTLINE Spot-On Cat can be used in kittens from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 1kg.

Key Benefits:

  • Elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and insecticidal efficacy against new infestations with adult fleas persists for 4 weeks.
  • Prevention of the multiplication of fleas by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity), larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) originating from eggs laid by adult fleas for 6 weeks after application.
  • Elimination of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has a persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 2 weeks against ticks (based on experimental data).
  • Elimination of biting lice (Felicola subrostratus).


Can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).

Directions:

Part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the spot-on pipette on the skin and squeeze gently to empty its contents onto the skin, preferably at two spots, one at the base of the skull and a second 2-3cm's further back.
1 pipette of 0.5 ml per cat (approximately 7.5 - 15 mg/kg).

Please note: for deliveries to the Republic of Ireland, this product can be only supplied on a veterinary prescription.

Frontline is the only effective product to manage flea infestation. I have kept cats for 35 years now, and I treat once or twice a year with spot on. No fuss, no distress no fleas!

I also used Bob Martin, not sure why I even bought it as I had always used Frontline, anyway it really doesn't work, so have ordered plenty of Frontline and will stick to that in the future

this is the best product for fleas I have four cats, and it would be impossible to keep the flea population down with out it, have used it now for almost six years and it has never let me down yet

Always use Frontline, and have never had a flea issue. Both my cats go outside, so its very important that they are treated properly. Frontline helps me achieve this.

I used to use Bob Martin flea protection until I had a really bad infestation. I changed to Frontline and have never had a problem since and I have 2 cats. I have been flea free for 8 years. You need to make sure the application is right, I dont believe that it can suddenly stop working!!

We always used frontline but now find that it does not work. Looking at the timeline of all the reviews it does seem that either the product has changed or may be the fleas have changed (?) and are unaffected by it now. I have found better results from products at garden centres. A real problem.

This product only kills the fleas it does nothing to prevent life-cycle/kill eggs. I did not realise that until today, after 3 months of trying and failing to get rid of fleas with this product. I am really frustrated. Apparently Frontline Combo will stop the life-cycle.

This product is useless, it *only* kills the fleas you can see, it won't do anything to stop them laying eggs etc. No matter how well you apply it that is all it will do. Frontline Combo *will* kill cycle/eggs apparently but I didn't know that before and wasted time/money.

Used this as recommended by someone as the Johnsons tablets i usually use didnt seem to be working this time, though have always been brilliant in the past. It didnt work at all so now trying Advantage, as i have heard that even some vets are saying fleas have become immune to frontline!

Frontline does not work any more. I have always used it regularly but now my cat has fleas - it is a waste of money.

I have just purchased 6 more Frontline - my cat HAS FLEAS so it is not working. I have just 'phoned the vet who has said the same and npow have to take him there to obtain a different flea treatment programme. Don't buy it.

I've been using Frontline for years on my three cats - the oldest is 11 - and it works purrfectly. How can it not work??? I rather suspect the adverse reviews are from rivals with a commercial vested interest. Ask a vet if s/he thinks Frontline works. Mine sells it and has done for years. Nuff said.

Id been a frontline fan for 10 yrs & have always recommended it. Not now! for the 1st time ever Ive a flea infestation despite following all the instructions correctly & making sure home envir was clear. I kept trying to persevere but this product is now useless. One pipette of Advantage sorted it.

Waste of money. Used too many times to count as recommended by vets on several cats and has shown no result whatsoever. No more money wasted. Have given up with this product.

the trick when using this product is to shave a small bold patch on back of neck so drug can make larger contact with skin i have fond this product will not work even on short haired cats if fur soaks up dosage. have used this product with six cats get it on its skin not fur and it will work

Frontline is absolutely useless!! I used it on my cat and 2 weeks later he had fleas, then I put Frontline on again and he still had the odd flea or two, I have spent a fortune on sprays etc to prevent them breeding in my house!disgusting for the price!!

my family have used this product on their cats for years with no problems so when i got my own kittens i went for this but it hasnt worked at all! may be as this is not one that goes into the bloodstream and is just a 'contact'one? i will not be buying this again

Bought 16 pipettes to apply to my own cat that doesnt leave the house and for the cats of two friends. All have had two applications as prescibed and all still have a large amount of fleas. If you search the internet you will see that Frontline hasn't worked for years. Will not buy again.

Very good product (you do have to keep applying every 3 mths to keep cats flea free). Excellent price from MedicAnimal - half the price of vets and 50% cheaper than other places I have seen.

have used this product on my cats for years it is the most effective flea control ive used so far. my old cat had a flea allergy and she used to lose her fur because of just one flea bite she needed steroids to bring it under control, which made her put on a lot of weight it was distressing for her.

No idea what the 1 star reviews are about, this product is brilliant! I've been using it for years and never seen a flea on my cats or in my house. Minimal fuss, squeezing the liquid onto the back of the neck every 4 or 5 weeks. Job done!
