Hill K/D Canine Prescription Diet for the
nutritional management of pets with kidney disorders. There are many causes for
kidney disease (also called renal disease) resulting in a variety of
uncomfortable changes, which even can be life threatening to your dog. Kidney
disease can be either sudden (acute) or occur gradually (chronic).
Hills
Prescription Diet Canine K/D has been specially formulated by veterinarians to
help manage dogs with kidney disease. Kidney disease may develop because of
other diseases, changes in health, breed/hereditary tendencies or even
nutritional factors. Signs of kidney disease don’t usually appear until more
than two-thirds of kidney function are lost. Hills Prescription Diet Canine K/D
is clinically proven to extend and improve quality of life in dogs with kidney
disease.
Indications:
- Kidney disease (renal failure and renal
insufficiency).
- Early heart disease.
Not recommended for:
-
Cats.
- Puppies.
- Pregnant or lactating bitches.
- Dogs with
hyperlipidaemia or pancreatitis, or with a history of, or at risk of,
pancreatitis.
Hills K/D Canine from the Hills Prescription Diet
is available in Wet and Dry. The wet food is cans of 12 x 370g, and the dry food
is available in 2kg, 5kg, and 14kg bags.
